I hope this message finds you well. As you likely know, the impact of COVID caused federal and state taxing authorities to extend most individual filing and payment deadlines beyond the April 15th deadline. I have attached a summary of all federal and state income tax deadlines for your reference. While most states have followed the federal postponement date of July 15th, please note that Idaho, New Hampshire, and Tennessee have filing and payment deadlines of June 15th. Please remember that returns can be extended beyond the June and July 15th timeframes to accommodate your schedule.
For those of you who file in Idaho, New Hampshire, or Tennessee, your Cooper Norman representative will be working with you over the next several days to ensure all relevant state filings, extensions, or payments are resolved by the June 15th deadline.
For your quick reference, please note the following filing and payment due dates:
- 2019 Federal Income Tax Return: July 15th
- 2019 Federal Income Tax Return Payment: July 15th
- 2020 Q1 Federal Estimated Tax Payment: July 15th
