They offer opportunities for local professionals to get involved in community and civic events as well as luncheons and other functions geared toward building strong relationships among members. Sales is not the primary focus, and according to Cooper Norman’s own Becky Granden, BYP has done a good job of keeping their values and steering away from sales-focused networking. This is Becky’s third year with BYP, and it is her second year on the leadership team. She joined the group as a student while she was attending BSU.
Some of Becky’s favorite BYP moments include manning a booth for the Boise Ironman where she got to hand out Gatorade, snacks, and wet sponges to racers; helping with a Halloween party for local kids at the YMCA, and assisting at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival.
This year, Boise Young Professionals will be working on building more political awareness within their membership and throughout the community as well as providing more opportunities for civic involvement.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]
